DK Shivakumar accuses Kumaraswamy brothers of targeting him

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has levelled serious allegations against Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy and his brother, JD(S) MLA Revanna, claiming they are conspiring to target him and gather incriminating documents to frame him. In a pointed statement, Shivakumar said that the brothers are obsessively fixated on him.
The deputy chief minister said, “Kumaraswamy always has to mention my name; he won’t be able to sleep without thinking about me.” He accused the brothers of actively searching for documents to frame him, a claim he insists is rooted in their political rivalry. “They have called all our officers and requested documents against me. They even contacted a company’s chairperson to gather documents against me,” he alleged.
DK Shivakumar emphasised that he has already submitted all relevant documents to enforcement agencies, namely the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). “All my documents are already with the ED and CBI, so I don’t need to provide any new ones now,” he asserted, suggesting that the brothers’ efforts are both futile and politically motivated.
The Deputy Chief Minister further highlighted that he has refrained from interfering in the Kumaraswamy brothers’ political activities. “We haven’t tried interfering in their business until now,” he noted.
Shivakumar’s accusations come amid ongoing tensions between the ruling government and Opposition parties in Karnataka.
